Meet our Pastor, Fr. Chris:
Father Chris was born in Boston and attended local schools. His home parish is Our Lady of Good Counsel in Methuen. He graduated from Merrimack College in North Andover, then completed seminary studies at St. John’s in Brighton, Massachusetts. During this time, he served as a deacon at St. Joseph Parish in Needham, and after ordination he served as parochial vicar for Living Water Catholic, the collaborative of Holy Family Parish in Amesbury, and Star of the Sea Parish in Salisbury. Fr. Chris is co-founder of the Merrimack Valley Catholic Youth Conference.
Fr. Chris was installed as pastor of our parish in June of 2018.
Many of the initiatives he has prioritized as a pastor are to help our parish become a stronger community so that we may understand, engage with, and meet the needs of everyone God has placed in our lives. Fr. Chris encourages each parishioner to establish daily habits of prayer and contemplation, as well as commitment to liturgical worship and participation. He asks that each of us prayerfully consider getting more involved in community activities and ministries to share time and talents, and to participate in the New Evangelization.
Talk with Fr. Chris after Mass or at a parish event, or any time call 978-372-7721 or email with questions or to set up time to meet one-on-one.
Meet our Parochial Vicar, Fr. Marcos:
Father Marcos is originally from El Salvador, Central America. Since he was very young, he has been a lover of sports, especially soccer and basketball, as well as music and dance.
He entered the seminary in 2003 and was ordained as a priest on December 8th, 2009. He has been in three parishes before coming to All Saints Parish. The first one is called the Nuestro Señora de Lourdes Parish in El Salvador; the goal of the Pastoral Plan in this parish is to stablish small communities, in which every parishioner can pray, know the faith and evangelize. The second parish is in Logroño Spain, and its name is San Pío X – because since 2012 to 2015 Fr. Marcos was studying in Spain, during this time, he also was the chaplain of San Pedro de Logroño hospital. Finally, he was the Pastor of Santa Marta de Bethania Parish in San Salvador for three years, and during that time, he was also formator in San José de la Montaña Seminary.
In his work as a parochial vicar, Fr. Marcos has as a priority to bring the Spanish speaking community into All Saints Parish, because he speaks Spanish as his mother language, in order to do so, he works together with Fr. Christopher Wallace, who is the All Santis Parish Pastor.
Since he arrived at All Saints Parish, he has integrated very well in it and he is very happy to be part of this community. He lives in the rectory with Father Chris and one senior priests, and is available to meet and speak with everyone, personally at the appropriate times, by phone (978 372 7721 Ext. 12) or by email ([email protected]).
