The family is the beating heart of our world. When the family is weak, our society becomes week. This is the challenge that we face today. The traditional family is under an aggressive attack in our western culture. We are fighting a spiritual battle of epic proportions. The family is the foundation unit of society, and if the family is destroyed, society is destroyed.
When Our Blessed Mother appeared to three children in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917, she directed us to pray the Rosary every day in order to obtain peace for the world. Peace begins in the home, and in the words of Venerable Fr. Patrick Peyton, “The family that prays together stays together. A world at prayer is a world at peace.”
Praying the Rosary together is a wonderful practice to combat the evils of our times. We would like to invite all families to join us on the First Saturday of every month for a family-centered rosary.
We will meet in the Saint Joseph Room in the parish hall, pray a Rosary (this takes about 15 minutes) and then enjoy some fellowship and light snacks. It’s okay if you have never prayed the Rosary before! It’s never too late to learn!
If you would like to contribute a snack, please contact us ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
This is a family Rosary, so please bring your children of all ages! We would like for the children to be involved in praying the decades as much as possible.
First Saturday of the month
