From our Youth Ministry

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I want to thank each person who donated to help send our teens to Steubenville. Your donations will continue to foster the love of Christ in every teen & chaperone that attended. There are so many experiences; from watching our teens worship the Lord, seeing them learn to pray for one another and having them pray over us, to our late-night talks, attending mass with thousands of other teens and being in Adoration. Although all those experiences are a true witness of Christ, I have to say that my favorite part is knowing that we as a community were able to give this experience to our All Saints teens. Lastly, I want to share these wise words from Pope Benedict: “Dear friends, may no adversity paralyze you. Be afraid neither of the world, nor of the future, nor your weakness. The Lord has allowed you to live in this moment of history so that, by your faith, His name will continue to resound throughout the world.” Thank you, thank you, thank you, and may we as a community continue to develop our love of Christ in our teens and with one another.

Thank you notes from our teens

Thank you for helping me go to Steubenville. My experience at Steubenville was incredible. Going into this retreat I didn’t have a clue as to what I’d be walking into that weekend. It was truly such an eye opening experience and such a great way to get educated and grow closer to the Lord. I learned so much in such little time. I was able to connect with God in a way I never knew how to before. I can’t really put it in words. From worshiping to the small group discussions, I truly learned what it’s like to have brothers and sisters in Christ to experience God's grace with, and it was the BEST feeling! I can happily say that I left Steubenville feeling much happier and closer to God, and I hope to go back next year!! 

 

I want to reach out and say “Thank you”. I learned so much and I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to strengthen my relationship with God.

 

I have attended Steubenville for the last three years and my experience there has been life changing. I have been able to pray with many teens around my age, and hear testimonies from people there and I have been able to see how good God is in our lives. This retreat has pulled me closer to my faith in God and prayer. I thank all the parishioners and the parish for the support we have received to make it possible for us to attend, I hope to have the opportunity to attend again. Thanks so much, God bless you all!

 

I am thankful to go to Steubenville and know that I could not have gone if it were not for your support and the support of everyone who was on the trip. I am happy to have this experience and say thank you from the bottom of my heart. 

 

I am so grateful for having the opportunity to go to Steubenville and share the incredible spiritual experiences with everyone there.  I would like to thank everyone that helped make it happen, everyone that helped and took care of us on the trip, and of course I'd like to thank God for helping us all get closer and learn more about him. This was my first year participating, and I felt like I had an amazing and righteous experience.  

 

Thank you. I like the environment because the people were kind and we didn’t have a bad time. I liked the trip to the Hall of Fame, the hotel and the songs the band played. 

 

Thank you! My experience at Steubenville is…that… I got to grow in my faith life. I met new people there and learned more about the Bible. It’s fun to go because it is the only time we get to have two full days of the Lord. Just being there makes me feel amazing. I saw teens change from mad and sad to happy and excited all because we learned more about Jesus. I also meet more people every year I go that share my Steubenville experience.
